Major minor updates

And so when I come back to blog, the whole interface of blogger changed. Just like Facebook, and everything else perhaps. Why could things just change so quickly in these days.....and I wonder.

How long has it been...since I last flew a kite?

Hmm. Has life been good?
"Ma ma dei lar..."--that's how "so so" is represented in Canto.
I can't believe that I have worked for 7 months! Well perhaps 6 months as there were quite sometime in the middle where I spent on studying, exams and some holidays [Yes people I just went to amazing Japan wohooo....].

And I am still considering whether this is the career path that I would like to carry on and work on with. Well, to be more precise, when will I actually know? Ah....perhaps till the day when I really have to shout "Stop!".

Winter is finally over (well I mean since beginning of April, and not that I don't like winter why did I use the word finally over there....), and there has been quite a lot of rainy days lately. Rain makes people moody on the streets as umbrellas bang each other and water sprints over everywhere, ooh, that definitely includes me. Makes me so wana go home and drive lol. Spoiled. 

It's Bersih 3.0 today everywhere across the globe I heard?

Yah, just some updates and random thoughts before I go to bed.

A couple of shouts.

A couple of funny/interesting things that happened this week that I would like to share....

1) The Bank of China issued 2 million commemorative notes in Hong Kong in order to celebrate the 100th anniversary of BOC. And people went up for grabs like crazy. The lines were crazy, people line up for 10 hours to buy the notes. The 2nd hand prices were super crazy too. It was sold at HKD150 from the banks and it was valued at around RMB800 in the market. Wohoo....good profit here...it made me felt like buying too. They call those "middle-men" trying to make profits the "yellow-cow"s. LOL.

2) There's this interesting ceremony called the "borrow money from guan-yim" ceremony which happened on Fri, 17th Feb. People starting queuing up since the night before at places that are near to guan yim temples, including the football court just beside the building I live in, and the queue was there all day long...as in it was still there when I came back from work at 8pm. It's amazing to see how Hong Kong people are so into this tradition ....I guess it "works" in some way and that's why people are still following it.

3) The debate. Most Malaysian Chinese would know what I'm talking about hehe. Yeah....and facebook is truly "scary"....photos and videos and pages and sites and comments and more sharing are everyone within just a couple of hours after the debate. And the focus of the debate would be lady of MCA Selayang, and now better known as the parking lady, or "kak tunda" in Malay. Hmm...and you could look the whole debate if you're interested.

我還是要說……五月天

最近工作都會有種種讓人崩潰的小插曲，所以我決定放工一回家找一下最好鬆懈心情的活動。

那個…………看五月天所有十二月份所上過的通告。（爲什麽不在12月的時候看呢？呃，可惡的考試害的。還有，在馬來西亞只有narrowband沒有寬頻所以根本無法正常的stream 視頻）

有很多很感動的，讓我很想記住的，在這裡我想回顧回顧一下。

或許有天失落的時候，再回頭看一看，就會有元氣:D

五月天或許容易破音倒嗓 但吸引歌迷的是

啊我這個不怎麼看綜藝節目的傢伙，就這樣，爲了五月天，都豁出去了。

以上的每一集都有各自的特色，各自的幽默，各自的感動。

嗯，怎麼他們忙成這樣還有那種美國時間上那麼多通告呢。

抱歉我缺席了好久

好像我忘了和你請假，親愛的部落格，抱歉我缺席了好久。

很大場的兩場試都考過了，聖誕新年諾亞方舟首航也過了。

2012，來了。

那天不知道是看到報紙還是什麽，突然才開始慢慢相信那個瑪雅的預言，原來真的有可能，會世界末日。

你，相信嗎？如果你相信，最想做的事情，還有什麽呢？

我不知道在這個犯太歲的龍年我又會發生什麽事，只求我可以工作順利，有更多機會回家這樣應該就够了。

Welcome 2012~~

Hong Kong Style

Another famous food in HK and especially in Yaumatei-- Claypot rice (煲仔飯).
And this place seems to be very famous. 四季煲仔飯 (my own translation- Four Seasons Claypot Rice, lol)
At 6.45pm, there were only 4 people in the line. And at 8pm, there were around twenty people queuing up for the food.

They sell Fried Osyters too.

Not bad not bad. I had Lapcheong Chicken Rice.
Nevertheless, I would still think that Penang's Sar Poh Pui is better haha. As for the Fried Oyster, it is quite different from the Malaysian style, and I kinda like it in both styles :)

Sweetheart Garden Steakhouse

其實完全無法瞭解它叫Sweetheart Garden Steakhouse的原因。
呵呵。
明明花園餐廳這四個字裏面沒有Sweetheart的意思。

嗯，一直以來也挺喜歡吃扒的。認識的大扒家就有花園餐廳和扒王之王。但一直以來都覺得貴，所以都沒有去吃。
這次是在看完了《那些年》以後，朋友建議去吃所以吃的。

還挺滿意的。而且我們六個人吃飽前後坐了3個多小時都沒有被趕XD
加分加分。
而且不會太貴哦，一個set包括飲料才HKD40。物有所值:)

Country Art Museum

Somewhere so isolated from the city. 26 minutes MTR+30 minutes bus to reach this place we call.....Dai Mei Duk. And within it there's this cute lil restaurant called Cafe de Country Art.

Alex bought this from Groupon and because he is not in HK anymore, me and Xiaoqin went for it on a weekday evening. It is a very kanchiong one cause the place is just so far away and Xiaoqin might not be able to finish up work early and get there just in time to finish our food. But luckily in the end we made it.

First, I was amazed by this place, it is so un-HongKong. 2-3 storeys instead of tall buildings, the sea instead of rows of shops and swarms of people. Good environment, and a place that I would consider living in.....IF I drive. Haha.

Second, the food is actually pretty GOOD!

木糠芝士蛋糕. I don't know how to call it in English leh...Sawdust Cheese Cake? LOL.

A nice place to chill actually, well that's if we don't have to go to work the next day.

Will definitely cycle over here one day.

Owh, one more thing, this area is also called.....

LOL. Long Boay Paya Terubong equivalent in Penang. Yes I wana go back home^^

Cause I wanna skip talking about Mock Exams, so I skipped blogging on Oct 31st. And pretend that Oct 2011 only has 30 days, and I pretend that Halloween 2011 does not fall on Oct 31st.

Hmm....I decided to blog about FOOD from today onwards for the week. LOL so what's first?

Cause I have their CC and cause the CC is tied up with Watami, I got this HKD100 coupon for dining in during my b'day month. Yummy.

Cause I've always enjoyed Japanese food, although I can say that this is genuine Japanese food. But still a nice treat.

Well, one interesting which happened when I was eating the above rice. While I was about 60% away from finishing my food, I realized a HUGE crack at the Stone Pot =.= Yes, one whole line straight through. And so I ate away most of the seafood and ask for a change for a new pot of it. LOL. So I had almost 1.8 portions of the rice and 2 miso soups for the meal. So it's lunch+dinner.

Lol. Satisfied.

And another feast

A lesson about what is a sheep a goat a lamb and lambs could be alive etc lol.
A nice gathering with all. 
And I enjoyed cooking mum's signature prawn balls cabbage soup :)

And definitely not to forget the super duper GOOOOOOOOOOOOD dessert brought by Bernard.
Owh and we had dessert wine from Canada!

And the super rich and yummy chocolate cake.
