And I slept almost the whole day....

It's our free day today.
And time to get some more sleep that I have lost in the past few weeks.
It felt soooooooo good. And well you know....I can never get enough sleep lol.
Well before the sleep, I went walking around the campus and the weather was so cooling.
I really think this is a nice nice place but....living expenses are really HIGH. imagine a 12% tax on WHATEVER you buy.....including food. Oh god. So I guess I'm not spending much here.....
This dog is waiting for its owner who is having lunch inside McDonalds...aww, poor thing.
The library...looks so big and nice!
Oh My God can you recognize this building?? It was used as one of the houses in the TV Series SMALLVILLE!!!
Owh, and I found out that UBC is really remote from everything else in Vancouver. To go to the nearest mall or some place of attraction, I will need to walk 15+ minutes to the bus stop and take at least 30-45 minutes public bus to reach there....ahh. It made me feel even lazier about hanging out.
But I heard from my friend that there's a nude beach just behind my dorm....hmm....really curious about that HAHA.

Well that's all for now. I shall rest more first as it's definitely going to be very hectic soon XD

Settling in Canada

Where I live.....
So this is my room.
I wanna say that my future house (with the toilet n kitchen n everything) in HK might just be ONLY 1.5 times bigger than this.....seriously=.=|||
Ahh....so I should enjoy as much as I could while I'm here (but one month is too short la...)

I was briefed by Wilson about what I would be doing as in the program for the next few weeks. But basically for the first week I have nothing to do cause the kids that I will be in charge of will only arrive on Sunday. I got to know a few more Global Leaders and I joined in a group for Team Time. It was really interesting as I just found out that only kids/children/teens whose native language is not English could join this Summer Program (I used to think that this is a summer camp for Canadian kids lol....whoooops). And I was really amazed when I found out that some kids (aged 7 is the youngest!) traveled almost all on their own on the plane for more than 12 hours to Vancouver. Isn't that really AMAZING?

For the Global Leaders, we had a presentation about our country after dinner. Some of us were from Mexico and Brazil and Venezuela, and the rest from Asia such as HK, China, Japan and Korea. And most of the hometown of the Global Leaders looked so so so so attractive that I felt like traveling there immediately O.O One of it was Curitiba, Brazil....just check this video out people (intro by one of the Global Leaders Simone)....

Hisako and her Japanese Calligraphy :)
Update till here then.

A change in season, timezone, and living style.

It's no longer Spring. It's Summer. I did not keep my promise....instead I kept myself busy like hell for the past 3 months.
ごめんなさい~~~

Well, it's true that in general Westerners have a better quality of life, so guess what, (most of you might have known) I am now in Vancouver, Canada! Currently a Global Leader and Local Counselor for this program called Bodwell's University Summer Programs. And so now I finally have some time to update my blog :):)
久違了大家~~

Doggie on the journey....as usual :)
This is my first day here and the thing that excites me most would be the WEATHER! Owh thank god it is like HK's winter here....daily temperature between 20-25 degree Celcius. And I can survive in my room without a fan. What a relief from all the sunburn suntan I got during my trips to China in June+July! Owh and speaking about my room, yes I HAVE MY OWN ROOM. wow...isn't that exciting?

Before I arrive I was kinda worried about the 16 hour flight and jet lag and stuff. But after that...I realized that I am such a pig that I can sleep anytime I want. I am extremely tired though, and I guess it's not because of the jet lag but rather the lack of sleep for the past few weeks when I am on work or on service trip.
Ah, I am goina have an exciting journey here I bet.
Sooooo looking forward~~~
