(And I realized that I have not been blogging much about my life in the year of 2012, but instead posted lotsa Mayday videos *winks*)

Supposed to be studying. Supposed. (okay who knows if it might or might not happen? LOLs)

It's Vesak Day in Malaysia. But Buddha's birthday in HK was last Saturday. Why such difference I have no idea. Wanted to go to a temple this morning but the weather wasn't good. Weird rain happening these days and it could get pretty annoying. Went out for facial appointment. And once again, another rather disappointing service experienced in this region.

People here are just too motivated for money, instead of satisfaction through happiness. 

Words couldn't simply describe it all, and I just felt so ....("XXXX"?) about it.

Saw a golden retriever on the streets. I so wana have a dog or at least Patty by me.

LOL Obviously this is no Golden Retriever....but a Huski equally adorable. MISSSS DOGSSS.

Gosh I have soooo much to do and time is just never enough. Weeeeeeekends are too short. Just too short for me to organize my photos from the Japan trip, upload photos from my company's annual dinner, recalculate expenses for the Japan trip, study, blog, house chores, get some nice sleep, write letters to the kids I met last summer etc etc etc etc etc.

A production of my uni

This documentary was actually aired in several television stations in HK a couple of weeks ago. I guess it's a pretty cool thing.

Well, it is definitely a miracle. Especially for those founders who witnessed the establishment till the growth of the university since 1988+.

Although I really hate the study-stress I had all the while in HKUST, I still have no almost no regrets for choosing to come over. (Well, sometimes I do think that things will be so much simpler if I hadn't choose this path). But being in HKUST for three years had made me seen so much more than I've expected, so much that I think I've realized more of what I actually enjoy doing, and what I am capable of.

Well, back to the topic. This great uni has really great research and great opportunities for people who share the vision to make a little difference to the society, and bit by bit, to the world. And although it's true that me and many of my peers are not directly related to the video (some very high-tech results and mostly postgrad related), I'm still proud to see this video and proud to say that I'm an HKUST alumnus.

一直不瞭解香港的超級積極補習到底是怎麼一回事。

這個星期終於有機會體驗了。

就是不斷的一直告訴你怎麼準備考試很快地很快地用最短時間地告訴你很多很多資料你不停不停地寫字腦袋一直一直地轉，每天連續六個小時以上。

這個星期連續五天終於終於體會到了。

這樣好累好累，但不能不出席，因為是公司要你出席的。不能不聽，萬一真的錯過了些什麽的話好像心會很不安。

這個星期…………深深讓我感覺到我是多麼的不適合這樣積極地讀書=.=

是的，每次上課就會有這種被困在籠子裏面的感覺……苦@.@

Somehow I just hoped that I do not have any more exams next week :P 
Being a very "hea" final year probably not my final sem student.

I'm not sure how "bad" I did in my exams today and for the past few days, somehow I'm really tired of exams. Not really because I tried very very hard, just the fact I realized that, ahh...whatever, I have been taking exams for like 16 years, and I just don't think that exams are the best proof of how well you understand the subject, and esp in HK, and enough is enough... LOL. 

and OMG I do realize that I still have professional qualification exams in the future leh....

Had a nice gathering with Lucinda and erm Faria (Jason) after Psychology exam today. It was a good one...with lotsa interesting stories.呵呵呵. And so I had the mood to actually cook some food and invited Faria and CJ and Alex over for dinner....

Happy to know that Faria is going to LSE for Masters, and sad that uni life is really ending very soon and someday a lot of us might not be seeing each other anymore for erm.....a long long time...? 

Ah....all the best people!

Nice day. But sadly I havta go back to Hong Kong Tax very very soooooooon. Ish.

Dinner cooked in 1.25 hours. The curry spice wasn't that nice as I expected. Anyways....satisfied. Does this meal look similar? Haha...sorry lah, my cooking style is still very limited at this moment LOL.

圖書館

我發現到我真的不是一個可以在圖書館讀書的人

圖書館安靜到我覺得很可怕，甚至很不自在=.=

所以在那裡只有一個小時不到，我還是決定回房去自己吵吵鬧鬧，呵呵J

但其實這個新的圖書館很漂亮。以後科大的同學們有這種福氣真好。

ANNOUNCEMENT

PEOPLE. THIS BLOG IS STILL ALIVE. It's me who's erm....80% dead? Haha.

Seriously, words couldn't describe how busy I was lately. Well not just lately, it's for the past...erm 40 days?
I really didn't expect my final semester to be THIS hectic.

And I have to STUDY for SIX finals these few days.
Last paper ends 31st May 7.30pm. 

I will stop hiding and be out soon okay?^^

Promise for all the updates of these 40 days after I finish those devastating papers. Seriously :) I have lotsa nice stories to share.

Psychology, and a tiring day...

While studying Management Accounting at 5am. Hungry, but this Ice Cream Matcha OREO made in Beijing is so not nice >.<

I've always liked Psychology. I even thought of taking Psychology after finishing Form 5.
But nah...the prospect is just too uncertain and so...here I am, doing Accounting=.=
Anyways, back to the topic where I really like Psychology. There is a limited amount of Psychology courses offered in HKUST, and it always clashes with my core courses' timetable. And finally, I had the opportunity to enroll into 2 intermediate Psychology courses (Psychology of Adolescence and Adulthood & Health Psychology), and sit in for 1 introductory Psychology course this semester! :)

And so, this is some concept taught by the introductory Psychology course instructor today. Intelligence. And there are some exceptions to the traditional intelligence concept, called savant. He showed us this video in class too. Which I thought was pretty interesting.....

Only one official class, but still... I have a lot of things scheduled for today. After sitting in for the Psychology class, I had the work meeting for an hour. Owh gosh....time flies and I will be teaching the first batch of Ambassador Leads this Thursday. Argh...and I still have a lot of things to prepare for it. And then I went to earn 30 bucks from a Marketing Research. And then another meeting for the SLAM project. Thanks to the staff for giving me a pretty good idea to proceed with our project...well, this actually means more stuff to do soon, but hopefully... I could achieve something good by the end of it.
And then only it's roti bak kua lunch and revision for my midterm tonight.

Revisions revisions revisions. And I need some songs to keep myself awake. And so I randomly heard this...

I seldom listen to Cantonese songs actually, but I do know that there are lots of them which are pretty nice :)

It was a tiring exam, 5 questions 2.5 hours, non-stop writing, and can't really finish it. Wanna end this day sooner....and get some good sleep!

And I have a sudden crave to shop for some stuff too.....whatever it is...heh.

Sunday for rest

I friend texted me from Malaysia saying that I should get more sleep. It's so true. I haven't been sleeping well for the whole d**n week and today should be the day where I take just a little bit more rest.

And so I did it. (I think)

Happy to be out playing badminton today with Len Foong and Alex (he said he never really played badminton before, OMG are you Malaysian Chinese...haha)! Have been waiting for this opportunity since I got the RMB30 badminton racquet last December, for TWO somemore...Haha. But well I think you can expect the quality of the racquet is...ahem...memang cheap...yeah, I'll get myself a new better one if I'm serious about this, if I have time, and when I have the money!! (yeah, if this day comes...)

Also had a meeting with my Malaysian juniors for a marketing proposal competition held by an insurance company. Well, we did this because of the ipad!! Ipad please....Haha.

And so another weekend is over. I'm starting to worry a lil as the semester seems to be ending soon. Ahh...scary. There're still so many things to do, and yet so little time available. So I foresee more little-hours-sleep-days in the upcoming few weeks? Ahh...

Tomorrow will be the pre-sale day for Mayday concert tickets!! It's making me feel excited but the thing is I don't really wana buy pre-sale tickets as they are HKD25 more expensive than normal tickets for no reason, and you will not be guaranteed a good seat :(
Ahh...but at the same time, I'm worried that the tickets will be sold out and I won't even be able to attend their concert!

And now...back to study, and work.

22 hours

I am actually awake for 22 hours today. Haven't done this for quite a long time. Guess it's because I'm really growing old.
Anyway, this time it's because of the SOSC200P (Health Psychology) midterm. Couldn't concentrate 100% studying anyway, although I did manage to finish all the lecture notes (but definitely not the text book as it's way too long winded and it's over 100 pages long...) by morning.
And took some shots of the early sky.
I don't think I really have that many other chances to do this in the future (I mean I hope I won't cause that'll mean I'm not sleeping for the night again..haha)~ And I'm graduating soon anyway...so, I wanna seize this moment :)

Have been busy trying to finalize my presentation slides for the whole day.
It's another 9am-6pm typical Wednesday. And well I actually woke up at 8.48am this morning to attend my 9am class. Haha....Lunch for today? Chinese Sausage Bun, and some Taiwanese Crackers. It was pretty good.

While I was arranging the slides, I tried searching for some images on Google. And I found this cute thing when I googled "Questions and Answers":

衝！！

這個星期的時間表很可怕。三張midterm，一份功課，一份presentation，五個會議。可能陸續還會有更糟糕的……

沒想到這樣就來到了學期中，怎麼時間可以過得那麼快。Finals的時間表出了，我感覺到Finals即將來臨，大學即將結束。

不知怎麼一向很想快快畢業的我，突然想停留在這個最後一個學期，停留……久一些。

今天考了兩張卷。應該沒有比上個星期三那張好，但希望還是可以過關。

今天霧氣重的很誇張，看不見的遠方，仿佛自己在天堂。可以發夢一下也好呢……

今天有一些感觸的。可是因為昨天只睡大概兩小時，所以現在沒什麼精力寫，遲些一定會補上來，敬請期待J

Another day...in Hall 6

I was too optimistic about everything I guess. I didn't wake up too late today, and I started working on stuff once I'm up. But it took me soooooo long to complete the ERP work before I could move on with my revisions. Ah..the new Student Information System is driving me a little...erm.
Well, I still believe it's worthwhile putting time and effort in it.

Owh, another shocking thing for me. I didn't know that reserves are not available in the library for my Psychology classes cause I missed the very first lesson. Thanks to Alex, I managed to copy a few key chapters that were previously mentioned to help my revision.

And yea..I havta miss the flower show!! L
How sad could that be...
To make myself feel better, I MUST DO WELL IN MY MIDTERMS!!!
*wish me luck guys....*

ERP Work and Others

Hmm...I think I briefly mentioned about the project I'm helping with right? The new Student Information Systems thing. It's getting scarier I think. I'm discovering more and more previously undiscovered features of this system. I'm sure it's goinna be a huge thing and hot topic among the students when it's officially launched. And I kinda have a huge responsibility to make sure that everything is fine, owh cause I'm goinna be training the first batch of students on how to use this system!!
Gah gah gah....to be honest, I'm sometimes nervous about it...haha.

Anyway, I have a homework due tomorrow, and it's SOSC200C midterm tomorrow! OMG. 5 sets of readings, 20+ pages each...how am I goinna do it. And it's only 10 questions, but 15% of your overall grade. My fr iend told me:“啲MC都幾貴既咼~”yeah. And I strongly agree. The thing is, MC is always not MY-THING. Well, I still have to do it under limited amount of time... so work hard!

Well, it's time to settle down a little and study for my SOSC200C: Women in China midterm happening this Wednesday, and complete my ERP powerpoint slides job!

Owh, and one more thing, I cooked bak moi (pork porridge) today!! Haha, it is nothing like the Penang ones, but still, pretty good for the first try I guess. Applause to me :)
